Guest Post on Sandcurves.com

If you don't feel like reading all the stuff below, just write a guest post, send it to me, and we'll go from there.

Some Guest Post Guidelines

Are you a blogger that is on the rise, and looking for every chance at exposure you can get.  One great way to do that is to guest post.

Sandcurves.com is not yet a well known blog, but I am putting in a huge effort to build up this blog, improve my writing and focus the niche.  It may be enough to give you a little extra exposure.

I'm interested in anything related to creating a blog that matters.  If you're keen, please get in touch

Some things to note:

  • I don't garantee that I'll take what you write.
  • Write a little bio to include, as well as the url of the blog/website to which you'd like me to link.  I'll not only include your bio in the post, but also on a separate blogroll page.
  • Write something useful for my readers.  Simple as that.
  • I may do a little editing.
  • Aim for between 700 to 1200 words, but don't add crap to get length.  If you don't like to work that way, try to make your post only make one point, with 5 to seven supporting point.  These are just guidelines - if it's good stuff, go wild.
  • The editing isn't going to include SEO very much - you need to take care of that yourself.
  • I much prefer HTML.  All your paragraphs should be in <p> But if you don't like doing that, I'd be happy to do it for you.  With regards to HTML, please note following:
    1. Because of a stupid mistake that I made, I don't do my headers with header tags, like <h3>.  I know it is bad for SEO and so on, but I do my headers with <p style="font-size:x-large;">
    2. If you want styling, I can wangle a separate CSS file.  You can look at my css file, called stylo.com

      [ Mmmm… Stylo… the music video on Youtube.com ]
  • Please, even if it is just plain text, just save it as a HTML file.  I'll do the editing in Emacs
  • Images - If your post includes images that are not yours they need to either be under appropriate Creative Commons licenses or you need to prove to me that you have the rights to use it.
  • If you want me to source images for the post, I'll be happy to do it.
  • I really prefer one and only one image per post, 500px wide, preferably not of a cat.
  • I would much prefer it if you spent about 4 weeks in Tibet, meditating while carrying heavy objects up high mountains before submitting, so that I can start to pull ahead of Copyblogger

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for visiting

This is my personal blog, but I try to write things that you may find interesting or useful.  I'm currently working on a six month long project digging into the elements that make a blog meaningful. For more on that, visit MEANINGFUL BLOG PROJECT page

You may want to know a little about me personally, so start at the about page.
