Coming along
Posted on June 20, 2010It really has been fun building this blog and as of this post I am most of the way done. The next thing I am going to work on is the feeds, and then things like categories. I have had to learn lots of little Django tricks and would love to share some of that in this blog...partly just to help me remember how I did everything. Note: I did - Blog Engine Tutorial with Django.
Because I have already worked with Django before, and because I sort of didn't need to rush with this site, I have spent a good bit of time trying to make the layout look good. I really have a thing for super simple sites that look good.

I have used one base template, which makes it super easy to go to town with the CSS. I am sure that I will still tweak a bit, but for now I am really happy with the progress.
Well, if by chance you have stumbled across this site, let me know what you think. I'll certainly be interested in hearing ideas. Just keep in mind that I will never have a lot of time for the site. It's a fun side project.
