Getting Ready To Move
Posted on June 25, 2010This weekend we are going to be packing frantically. We are moving into our new house on the first, others moving in here and the people in the house we are moving into, going out.
Having lived so many years out in the bush, it means we still haven't got a lot of stuff to move, so I guess it will be relatively simple.
The whole process registering for a tourism company in Namibia is a huge process, and not easy for the small operator without money behind them to get in. I think that it is a problem, in that it doesn't encourage Namibian entrepreneurs from getting into tourism, but it certainly is good for maintaining a standard. It isn't so much that the screening process is good, it is more about who is willing to wait for the endless little government things.
Anyway, finally I am done, and ready to launch. When I get into the new house I have a nice big office, away from the house (kids) where I can work. It is great because with the website I can work really long hours.
