Just me

Funny thing - after I wrote this, my feed count suddenly jumped right back up again.

Just Me

This morning I had a look at feedburner and got a sudden shock realizing that I only had 3 subscribers on the blog.  The day I first stuck up the feedburner thingi I got 8 or something, and it sort of threw me off.  I think I didn't really expect people to subscribe to this blog at all.

I had intended the blog to be somewhat of a play thing, a toy, and from day one I started to feel a little under pressure to make it into something else.  So when I saw the low feed count I suddenly felt that I had let everyone down.  I looked at the dates for posts and saw that I have only posted once this month (and that post was a cop out) and the last time before that was on the 18th of August!  A pang of guilt suddenly hit me.  But, in good procrastinatory fashion, I did nothing about it.

But, as the day went on I thought, this is good.  Now I can go back to what I intended, writing just whatever I want.  It is a bit of a weight of my shoulders.  For a while I am not going to push the posts out to twitter anymore - I think that was my mistake in the first place.  I see with Twitter you get new subscribers every time you post, but the next time you post half of them leave.

I'll rather write, and the three or so of you who read the blog (hi mom) can decide if you want to retweet something interesting I said, the button is there for you to do it. I'm going to go back to writing just stuff.

Just to sum it up - I'll post more regularly, but most of what I post may be of no interest to you at all.  I think I am going to post more images and perhaps more personal management kind of stuff.

Cheers,
